Implementing Dependencies In InSkill

Initiation of step/resource/task can be made to be dependent on the value of a variable, called dependent variable or dependencies. Dependencies helps the customer create specific tasks that are particular to the answers they provide to InSkill. They allow the author to restrict access to only allow particular assets intro a particular step, tasks, or resources. Dependencies can be implemented in the following areas: resources, steps, and tasks. The dependency prompt can be see in a redbox in the following images

Both asset and expertise variables that are created in the data dictionary can be used in dependencies. Both are effective in how they restrict access to particular information, however, if an asset based variable is used then no question is required. This is not the case for expertise variables and instead information will need to be extracted in previous steps to use.
