Solutions

The Solutions tab within the Manage Portal is where raw support data is transformed into verified AI expertise. Instead of the GPT simply searching through manuals, it uses Solutions to provide high-confidence recommendations based on your team's real-world history and problem-solving patterns.

The lifecycle of a solution follows a clear three-step process to ensure that every piece of advice given by the copilot is accurate and approved.



Creating Solutions: Establishing "Gold Standard" Knowledge

In the InSkill ecosystem, a Solution is a verified, high-quality answer to a specific technical problem. Solutions serve as the primary grounding for the GPT engine, ensuring that when a user asks a question, the response is based on your organization's proven expertise rather than a generic summary of a manual.

There are two primary methods for populating your library of solutions within the Manage Portal:


1. Manual Creation

Manual creation is the preferred method for documenting "Tribal Knowledge" or high-priority fixes that may not yet exist in your formal documentation.

  • How to do it: Navigate to the Solutions tab and click the Plus (+) icon located on the left-hand navigation panel.
  • Workflow: You can hand-craft the problem description, the verified steps for resolution, and link relevant resources or parts directly to the entry.
  • Best Use Case: Use this for documenting unique field discoveries or when a senior engineer wants to provide a definitive, "perfect" troubleshooting path for a known issue.

2. Automated Import & Generation

For organizations with years of service history, InSkill can ingest legacy data and transform it into structured, AI-ready solutions.

  • How to do it: Select the Settings Wheel (Gear Icon) in the bottom-left corner of the portal to access the data management tools.
  • The Process: You can import content—such as service tickets, technician emails, or legacy spreadsheets—to be processed by the InSkill engine. The AI analyzes this raw data to generate draft solutions.
  • Best Use Case: Use this to rapidly scale your knowledge base by "mining" existing records for valuable insights that are currently buried in unstructured formats.

The Solution Lifecycle

Regardless of how a solution is created, it must be managed to ensure accuracy:

  • Drafting: Solutions created via import usually start as drafts that require human verification.
  • Refinement: Authors can edit the AI-generated text to ensure it matches the company's technical standards.
  • Publishing: Once approved, these solutions are pushed to production, where the Copilot can use them to provide "Expert" answers to the frontline.
