Resources

Overview

This guide outlines how to configure and manage resources such as documentation effectively within the system. Resources are used to provide supporting materials such as documentation, videos, images and links that enhance product knowledge and user experience.

Resources can take various forms and serve multiple purposes. Below are the types of resources you can add:

Shared Resource

A resource that can be linked to multiple products or assets.

Document

Commonly a PDF file, but can also include Microsoft Office formats such as .docx, .xlsx, and .ppt. PDFs are widely supported and can be opened to a specific page. Documents can also be downloaded to the mobile app for offline access.

URL

A hyperlink to an external web page or online content.

Image or Video

Visual resources such as instructional videos, diagrams, or schematics to support training or troubleshooting.

Dynamic

Create content using the InSkill rich-text editor. Ideal for announcements, interactive pages, or custom content displayed directly within the system.

Resource Icons:

Under the GPT column there are several icons you can get the give you information about the status of the indexing on the resource you have uploaded, they are as follows:
IconDefinition
IndexedThe green checkmark indicates that the resource you have uploaded has been properly indexed and is ready for use with inskill GPT via that Ask function
Pending UpdatesThe yellow check mark will indicate that the resource you have indexed but has since been updated and those updates haven't been indexed yet (e.g. title, description, keywords)
Empty or ErrorA red explanation mark in a triangle means something went wrong during the parsing or it's a document that we couldn't get any content
DisabledThe indexing of the content has been disabled. This is done by deselecting "Searchable" under the resource InSkill GPT section
Another resource with this title existsSignifies that another resource in this copilot with the same name exists. This will not cause any errors but it might make it harder to notice the differences between resources
UnpublishedA red dot next to the title is an easy way to see if a resource is unpublished. When unpublished the document is essentially void and is not used throughout the platform
