Editing Resource Attributes
The following attributes can be modified by selecting the resource and editing the following sections:
In this section you will learn how to edit the attributes for any resource. Some attributes are available before the upload of the resource while others can only be implemented after the file has bee c
Before File Upload:

Provide a concise and descriptive title for the resource. A clear title helps users quickly understand the purpose and content of the resource.
Upload your resource file by either:
• Dragging and dropping the file into the upload area, or
• Copying and pasting the content if supported.
The system processes supported file formats automatically
Use the role-based access feature to control who can view the resource. Assign specific user roles to ensure that only authorized users can access the content.
Choose which platforms the resource should be available on. This feature allows you to tailor content visibility across different interfaces (e.g., mobile, web, desktop).
InSkill app determines visibility of the resource within the copilot resource list. InSkill Web controls visibility of the resource list of a copilot on the web portal. Lastly, InSkill GPT Answers determines if resource will be shown to user as reference for a GPT answer within a GPT chat session.
All resources can be shown conditionally by using Dependency. If a manual has a dependency such as (model = 350) then it will only be visible to assets that match 350, not 300 or 380.
Enable InSkill GPT to make the resource searchable through GPT-powered queries. When parsing is enabled:
• The resource is indexed,
• It becomes usable in AI-generated responses,
• It improves the system’s ability to provide intelligent, contextual support.
Keywords help GPT find relevant resources by enabling it to locate phrases similar to user questions within documents. While some documents may receive preference for various reasons, frequency of reference doesn't necessarily indicate fundamental coverage
Keywords serve as a guidance mechanism, allowing you to direct GPT toward documents that genuinely cover topics in depth. Rather than relying solely on documents that reference a topic multiple times, keywords help GPT prioritize resources that actually define and fundamentally discuss the subject matter.
The description allows for the resource to have some detail put into it that is missing explicitly in the resource. Similar to keywords, you can put a statement that will help the GPT.
Prompting is another tool to help the GPT but this is more on the backside. The prompt can be used to help the GPT understand something that is not intuitional.
After File Upload:

To upload resources in other languages, change the dropdown to another language. This allows users to add translated resources to their coorosponding langauges. When a user changes their apps langauge it will show them the correct document for their language. The enabled languages are set in Account settings.
When the file is uploaded as a resource the system will create a permalink of the resource. This means the link is secure and is consistent throughout the platform. This makes it much easier to apply in API embedments.
