Summary
Asset Copilot Tabs: History & Configuration
When you transition from a Product Copilot to an Asset Copilot, the interface shifts to provide deeper, machine-specific insights. While Product Copilots focus on general knowledge, Asset Copilots provide a dedicated audit trail and configuration profile for a specific piece of equipment.
Key Tab Differences
In the InSkill app, you will notice a different set of navigation tabs depending on which "flavor" of copilot you are using:
- Product Copilot: Ask, Resources, Tasks, Current Data
- Asset Copilot: Ask, Resources, Tasks, History, Configuration
The History Tab: Your Activity Audit Trail
The History tab is exclusive to the Asset Copilot. It acts as a permanent record of every interaction associated with that specific asset. This ensures that no matter who worked on the machine last, the next technician has full visibility into what was done.
- Activity Tracking: Automatically logs all chat sessions and diagnostic inquiries initiated by the user.
- Task Records: Tracks every Task performed on the asset, including completed steps and any data or parameters entered during the process.
- Personal & Shared Insights: Provides a chronological view of the asset's "life story" through the eyes of the users who serviced it.
Notes: Capturing Tribal Knowledge
One of the most powerful features of the History tab is the ability to save "field notes" directly to the asset. This turns temporary observations into permanent institutional knowledge.
- Manual Entry: You can manually type and save a note directly within the History tab.
- Voice Command ("Save Note"): For a hands-free experience while working on equipment, simply say "Save note" to the copilot. InSkill will automatically populate your transcribed note into the Asset History tab for future reference.
The Configuration Tab: The Machine's Identity
The Configuration tab provides the technical "DNA" of the asset. It defines exactly how the machine is built and how the AI should reason about it.
- Asset Variables: Displays the specific variables (defined in the Data Dictionary) that identify this asset—such as motor size, tank capacity, or firmware version.
- Technical Metadata: Similar to the Current Data tab in the Product Copilot, this section shows the Location and Copilot ID.
- Serial Number Integration: Unlike the generic Product ID, the Asset Configuration tab includes the unique Serial Number, ensuring that you are always viewing the correct specifications for the unit in front of you.
