Asset Resources

Assets can have resources that are unique to that specific machine. These asset-level resources are ideal for situations where information applies only to one piece of equipment rather than an entire product family.

Examples include internal factory documents, temporary operating instructions, or bypass guidelines for machines requiring additional maintenance or close monitoring in the near future.

Product vs. Asset Resources

Resources added to a product copilot are shared across all related assets in your factory. This is useful for documentation that applies universally, such as manuals, standard procedures, or general troubleshooting guides.

In contrast, resources added directly to an asset remain tied only to that specific machine. These resources are not distributed to other assets within the same product family, ensuring that sensitive, temporary, or site-specific information stays exactly where it belongs.

By separating product-level and asset-level resources, InSkill gives teams precise control over how knowledge is shared—keeping guidance relevant, accurate, and asset-aware.
