Tasks: Guided Procedures and Workflows

Tasks are manufacturer-approved, step-by-step procedures designed to guide you through specific actions—from simple routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting. They ensure every job is performed correctly, consistently, and safely.

Tasks are available across the entire platform, whether you are using an Asset Copilot or a Product Copilot.

How to Access Tasks

There are two primary ways to find and launch a task within the InSkill platform:

• Via InSkill GPT (Preferred Method): Simply describe what you need to do in the chat (e.g., "How do I change the air filter?"). The AI recognizes the context and automatically suggests the relevant task.

  • The Advantage: This creates a seamless flow from a conversation to a procedure. It also preserves your chat history, providing valuable context on the issues that led to the task in the first place.

• Via the Task List: You can also browse the full library of available workflows manually by selecting the Tasks tab in either the Portal or the App.

Why the InSkill App is the Best Tool for Tasks

While tasks can be viewed on the web portal, the InSkill App is specifically designed to be your "expert-in-your-pocket" for real-time execution. Using the app unlocks several field-specific advantages:

• Photo Observations: Use your device's camera to capture and upload images directly into the task flow or GPT chat. This is essential for documenting "as-found" conditions or verifying a successful repair.
• Speech-to-Text Input: Instead of typing while your hands are full, use voice commands to input data, record notes, or answer prompts within the task.
