Setting Who has Expertise Access
How InSkill controls who sees which expertise: access levels, where content appears, what each customer and group receives, and how people sign in.
Expertise is often an organization's most valuable intellectual property. InSkill controls access to it in layers, so each person sees only what they are qualified and permitted to see.
| Control | What it decides | Where it is set |
|---|---|---|
| Access level | Which resources, tasks, steps, solutions, and GPT agents a person sees, based on the access level of their role. | User Levels on each item. See Expertise Level and Users. |
| Visibility | Where a resource or solution appears: the app, the web, or InSkill GPT answers. | Visibility on each resource or solution. See Visibility by Role. |
| Roles and permissions | Which portals and features a person can use. | The Roles tab of the Admin portal. See Roles. |
| Sharing with customers | Which copilots and asset groups each customer account receives. | The Customers tab of the Admin portal. See Sharing Expertise with Customers and Customers. |
| User groups | How an account is divided into business units or regions, each with its own copilots, users, and customers. | The Groups tab of the Admin portal. See User Groups. |
| Single sign-on | How people sign in, using your organization's identity provider. | The Security tab of the Admin portal. See Security. |
| Vault | The keys and secrets that scripts use, kept out of view. | Vault in the Copilots portal. See Vault. |
